Can AVG AntiVirus or TuneUp cause a folder to go read only?

I have AVG PC TineUp and AVG Internet Security.
I think it is AVG TuneUp causing the problem, but may be somethink else.
A folder keeps going to Read Only. I change it to normal, but it reverts to Read Only.
Can it be AVG causing this?
