Hi there,
I've just subscribed to AVG's VPN and soon found I couldn't print anything. I then turned it off and found I could print again.
When I got my new printer I contacted AVG and found that my firewall was preventing my laptop from communicating with it.
I don't like the idea of Switching my VPN on and off; I'd much rather have it working away in the background without it interfering. I've clicked on
1) the gear icon in VPN and then
2) Network Security and then
3) current network profile.
It says my trusted network is private and that VPN will not connect automatically when on a private network. That doesn't make sense as the time honoured switch on and off test clearly shows it is somehow interfering with my trusted network
SO does anybody have instructions on how to configure VPN so that the annoying problem of having to remember to switch it on and off every time I want to print something is eliminated?
Hello Stephen.
This is expected behavior because VPN creates encrypted connection to a server(IP) so other devices on user network are not accessible.
So to access any Network devices, you have to Turn off AVG Secure VPN.
