Can I install AVG onto computer that doesn't have internet access using a USB key

Hi Karthikeyan, 

I'm a little bit confused, you first say that the AVG program 'will not work to its full potential without the latest virus definition updates', but then you say the 'AVG program cannot be used without internet access'. 

So if I used the AVG system, I could still use it without internet access it just wouldn't have updated virus definitions (which I realize is a big deal). Or will it literally not work on the computer at all without internet access?

Hello All,

Can I install AVG onto computer that doesn't have internet access using a USB key, and will it continue to work without internet access?

Background: I'm a Peace Corps volunteer in West Africa, I gave my village 2 old computers so that students could use them, but they don't have internet access there. What the students do have are lots of viruses on their USB keys though. And so I want to protect the laptop from that as best as possible.

I know that without internet AVG won't be able to update definitions, but there's nothing I can do about that.

We are sorry to inform that the AVG program will not work to its full potential without the latets virus definition updates, for the updates, it needs the internet connection. So, to be clear, the AVG program cannot be used without internet access.
