Hi Sue,
In order to analyze it please provide us with GMER (http://kb.avg.com/articles/en_US/How_to/GMER-Scan-Result/) and AVG scan result export (http://http://kb.avg.com/articles/en_US/How_to/AVG-scan-result-export/).
Thanks
Sue*… I would make very* sure these are Not* supposed to be there before removing them…!!
Just because AVG may be reporting them as 'problems' or 'rootkits infections', or whatever, doesn't mean they may not be 'False Positives'*.
I think I would make sure there is a good Restore Point before removing them as well.
… but I'm far from a PC "wizard"… these are just my thoughts.

Can I remove safely hkey_classes_root and hkey_local_machine files in XP? They show up with every scan.
