Can not turn on in Windows Security Center

Hello Raymond,

It is generally not recommended to use more than one security product on a single device. They will compete for resources, which may result in slowdowns, crashes or in no protection at all.

If you would like to use AVG, please uninstall Avast and reboot your PC to check the status.

I just recently installed the AVG free version to see if I like it, I had Avast but it became slow and tedious to operate. I got a notification (Windows 10 Pro), and it will not allow me to turn it on. Any suggestions? I have included a screen shot of what I am talking about. Clicking the button "Turn On" does nothing. Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you for the information Raymond,
We will help you sort it out. Could you share a screenshot of the AVG Antivirus Free user interface to proceed further?

I have actually uninstalled the software from my pc and went with Bitdefender Total Security 2019, coupled with their Antivirus Plus products. There were no hassels installing, setting up, or using the software and I did not encounter the problems that I did with AVG.

Thanks for your replies.

Yes, I know that it is not recommened to run two antivirus products on the same computer, which is why I uninstalled Avast first, restarted my computer then made sure that avast was deleted via command line with admin privies to make sure it was completely gone. I also disabled Microsoft's Window Defender via command line. This isn't my first rodeo. With that being said, the aforementioned issue has happened. And I can not get to the root of the issue. Microsoft's answer was to completely remove avg and use Window's Defender.
