We request you to try using our AVG remover tool for removing the traces of AVG.
1) To download AVG remover tool, please click on this link: http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe
2) Run the downloaded file and follow the onscreen instructions.
3) Restart your PC when the restart option is displayed on the remover tool screen.
NOTE: Once you have logged into your PC after the restart, please go to C:\ drive and delete the "AVG REMOVER" folder manually.

After installation of AVG Pro (free 30 days) and after having run the PC tune up software on an older PC, the PC takes 1 hour and a lot of effort from my end to start. Prior to that the AVG free did an excellent job but start-up lasted 5 minutes, so I had hoped to improve start-up. But wasted a lot of time. Now I want to go back to AVG Free. However, the software will not allow me to remove AVG Pro in any way.
So I tried to reset the system to the conditions prior to AVG Pro installation. That was possible but still not possible to remove AVG Pro. Message: Wrong License…
How do I get a solution?
