I was trying to answer your questions but my web site went down. I am sorry about the firewalls statement because I re-read what I wrote and it was wrong. I ran EnumProcess and it stated that 2 processes were running from AVG. That is different than 2 firewalls. I do not understand how 2 processes can be running but I can not access my screen to scan my computer for virus. I right click on the icon for AVG and it does not respond. I can not find out what process from AVG are running yet can not access the program. I tried your "repair" suggestion but the screen stated that the process in alrerady running. Should I uninstall the program and re-install it?
Hello F,
We would like to get more information and assist further on this matter.
You have AVG Internet Security program which has Firewall component in it.
If you disable AVG Firewall component, then it shouldn't be running in the background.
Do you see the service using the CPU resources?
Provide the screenshot of window where you see two AVG Firewall running.
You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
Perform repair of AVG Internet Security and check whether you are able to access the program.

I noticed that the program would not update a couple of days ago and had trouble with no access to scan my computer. I did something and got it to work. Today, I can not access the program at all… Is the system down? I also noticed that AVG has activated 2 firewalls and it is slowing my computer down. I did not authorize the firewalls as I use Microsoft as my firewall protection.
