Can not update either Virus or Program updates on paid for AVG

Do you get this error message now?

If yes, please change DNS on your computer and check if you are able to update AVG.

* Right-click your Internet connection icon in the notification area in the lower-right corner of your screen, and then click Open Network and Sharing Center.
* Click Change adapter settings, and then double-click your main network adapter. This can be Local Area Connection, Wireless Network Connection, Ethernet, or similar.
* Click Properties, select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4), and then click Properties.
* Select Use the following DNS server addresses, and then specify the Preferred and Alternate DNS server as follows:
  Preferred DNS server: 8.8.8.8
  Alternate DNS server: 8.8.4.4
* Click OK to save the changes, and close all opened windows.

Can not update paid for AVG, either Virus or Program updates so I have to uninstall the AVG every week and then reinstall it to stay updated. Have tried repair as well to no avail. Message comes up with "Unknown error"
