Also the frequency of pop ups can be controlled directly from the app or can be even turned off. Open AVG Internet Security, click on Menu->Settings->General->Pop-Ups. Then uncheck "Show ad pop ups for other AVG products".
This setting is stupid and annoying. I have the ultimate subscription of almost all products of AVG, but you keep popping sales window. I thought this is just random, but it keeps like this for several years. You should allow the current customers to forbid the ads. of the subscribed products.
