To unsubscribe from your end, you can login into AVG My Account and then select unsubscribe option which will opt out for automatic renewal.

How to cancel the auto renewal? I would like to cancel it myself if possible.

I unticked Auto renewal ages ago because i prefer to manually manage subscriptions (autorenewals rely on inertia) and a month before my subscription expried deleted AVG because I got tired of the constant upsell and fear factor. THEN I received a notification that my auto renwewal (remember I had cancelled it) had not been processed because my cc had expired, which fortunately it had. Not impressed.
