AVG has failed to respond to my enquiry as to how I might cancel my subscription. AVG charges me an annual fee of $69.99 for its anti-virus product at the same time AVG requested me in 2015 (the year I stopped using and deleted my copy of AVG anti-virus software) to update my payment details. I never updated those details - yet since that time, and whilst acknowledging that I have not since 2015 used any AVG product - AVG has received from my bank almost $800 in subscription fees. Like hundreds of other AVG users I cannot find any way to cancel my AVG account on-line. If AVG is aware of this issue, as it MUST BE if it has ever checked this forum, then perhaps AVG is committing a fraud on many of its customers. I have today reported my concerns to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission. My next step is to report AVG to the Australian Federal Police for investigation and hopefully for prosecution. All disgruntled AVG users should give maximum publicity - Facebook and otherwise - to this AVG behaviour.
Contact them on either facebook messenger or X. They wont respond when you call them.
