I just reported the same problem to a customer service rep at  AVG. Last year, AVG somehow put some kind of popup on my computer screen telling me that my pc lacked anti-virus software and to click here for Free anti-virus. When I signed up, it asked for my credit card information and there would be no charge until the trial was over. After a bit of thinking, I then thought, no I don't want to have one of these stupid trials where I sign up for it and forget it's there and get charged for it. So I canceled it immediately the same day. A day or two after cancelling, I looked  into my task manager on my pc, no AVG software was on there (still isn't). I was reading my bank statement the other day and found that they took $105.09 out of my account on 9/3/22 and it had never even been on my computer for the whole 11 months since I was unknowingly charged $38.48 on 10/3/21 and some change for anti-virus software that was never, ever installed. The CS rep told me I would be refunded the 105.09 back since it was charged within the last 30 days but I have to eat the charge of $38.48 that I somehow missed coming out of my account for this service that was never rendered. That's highway robbery. These people must make BANK on unsuspecting people who think that they cancel their services but find out later that their cancellation never went through and they now can't get their money back because it's been over 30 days. I wouldn't be so angry about this if AVG software had actually been put on  my PC but it never was and I guess they're taking the 38.48 as a gift that was never given to them in the first place. I'm reporting this to BBB, the Federal Trade Commission and whatever business entity I can find to address this. BUYER BEWARE! Just because you pay the fee without knowing it does NOT mean you will get your money back!!!

I am seeing a trend here…I cancelled and cancellation was acknowledged in 2019.  I have been billed $111.29 in June 2022.  I am requesting a full refund and expect no further unauthorized charges.
