Cancelling subscription

I've received an email to say that my AVG protection will automatically renew in 45 days at a cost of £44.99 for 24 months.  I do not want this renewal and have followed the instructions about cancelling, only to be told that there is no record of me having an products. 

What should I do to cancel this auto renew subscription?
