Cannot connect to the internet or send/receive email

Installed AVG VPN this morning and if it is connected I cannot browse the internet with Google Chrome or send/receive email via Outlook and Telstra Bigpond. Is this normal or do I need to change a setting somewhere?

Sometimes, this might happen if the server (location) to which you're connected through Secure VPN is unavailable or under maintenance.
Hence, we'd suggest you to try connecting to different servers in Secure VPN & check if it helps.
