Cannot disable AVG Watchdog

"The watchdog service sometimes stops my windows from booting" - This Just happened to me. is this something i should worry about?


I would like to have the directions on how to fix this problem please.

Sorry, it is not possible to stop the AVG Watch dog service.
May I know the reason for disabling AVG Watch dog service?

If I try to do "sc stop avgwd" in cmd I get this error:
[SC] OpenService Error 5: Access denied.
If I try to do the same but running cmd in admininstrator mode, I get this:
[SC] ControlService Error 1052: The control request is not valid for this service.

Help, please?

John, did you find any AVG folders on your drive?
When you restart your PC is it booting in normal mode or in safe mode?

The watchdog service sometimes stops my windows from booting, I've re-installed AVG numerous times, but this doesn't fix it.
