I have scanned this and it has shown two "trojans" which actually are not. That's not to say there aren't so named files out there that are actually viruses, but I know these aren't and it is ony recently that AVG has tagged them so. They are from back late '90s very early 2000s and I have had them since then. I've never gotten around to deleting them, but will now.
JFYI Six buttons was a joke file put into the 1st Page 2000 release in their iscripts, probably wasn't a really good idea, but it was cute. Haunt.exe is a late '90s, early 2000 halloween joke. When you double clicked to run the ''game' all it did was open your CD Drive. These did appear in the quarantine folder, but whatever email AVG quarantined has disappeared.
Thank you for your quick response, I at least now know where to find quarantined files.

AVG Free 17.5.3002 just told me it was moving x to the virus vault. There is no listing anywhere for the vault, the only thing I find is something called quarantine and it says there is nothing there. So please where on my windows 7 is the virus vault. Telling me to leave files for a few days in case I need to restore them doesn't help if I can't find where they are if I need to restore them. Thank you.
Hello Ruth,
I can understand your concern. Please be informed that there Is no virus vault in latest version of AVG Antivirus free. This feature is replaced by "Quarantine" folder. All the detected threats will be stored in this "Quarantine" folder. If there is no files listed in quarantine, it means that the file must either got removed or restored automatically. I suggest you run a "Full Computer Scan" in your computer and check if any threat is being detected. If it is, then please send us the screenshot(http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot) of the threat files that were detected, so I can check the same and assist you further.

Ruth,
Thank you for providing screenshot. I see that Haunt.exe is a threat and Six buttons from hell is not a file from legitimate publisher. Hence AVG has detected valid threats. I request you to fix those files or remove it from your PC for better protection.
Thank you.
