Cannot get AntiVirus to run

I have downloaded the lastest AVGAntiVirus from avg.com but I cannot get it to run on MacOS Ventura. Any advice? It installs correctly, but when I try to launch the app, there is nothing on the menu bar, and nothing showing in Activity Monitor.
