I'm having trouble re-installing AVG on my Windows Vista machine. I recently started getting the error "cannot start program, avgsysx.dll is not found". I uninstalled and tried to reinstall, but I kept getting the 70643 error, MSI Engine: failed to install the product - @AVGMSI_Error 27046; driver installation failed. I've completely removed AVG, tried installing in safe mode, even run the "Reset Access" tool, but I still get the same error. Is there something else I can do?
I don't know if this helps or not, but I am choosing "Basic Protection" (Anti-Virus Free) over "Full Protection" (Internet Security Trial) as the product, and "Express Install" over "Custom Install".
Zbynek, I do not have a folder called "Logs" in my C:\ProgramData\MFAData\ folder, nor do I see any MFA***.log or MSI***.log files in the "MFAData" folder.
Yes, I downloaded and ran the "AVG_Remover_en.exe" file

Hi Tim,
Unfortunately there are no installation log in provided output.
Please try run installation again and provide me with most recent MFA-<date>-<time>.log and MSI-<date>-<time>.log files from C:\ProgramData\MFAData\Logs\ folder.
Thanks
Please try delete MFAData folder then, it might be caused by wrong access rights on that folder.
Thanks
