Cannot install AVG Ultimate - Internal Server error

I recently purchased AVG Ultimate and can neither install it from the disk:
Goes to AVG retail page on the disk and then gives me:

Internal Server Error - Read

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

when I click on Active button.

or

Going online and attempting to add subscription to myAVG profile.

I contacted the chat support - John said to go the forums.  Nothing on the forums about this issue.

I uninstalled the free Antivirus and rebooted and tried again, same error.  I ran Windows Update to make sure I had the PC up to date.  I crossed my fingers and chanted my Lucky Star poem... nothing seems to work.

Any ideas?
