Cannot open the permitted application list

Hi Kats,

We are glad to help you with this.

Are you trying to add the application in the exception list?

Please provide us the screenshot of the error message to investigate further.

Keep us posted.

AVG Antivirus Free / Windows10

I'm trying to add an application software to the permitted application list.
But when I click the button to open the permission list dialog, Windows gives me back an error and the AVG AntiVirus process gets killed.
I tried tens of times, but it keeps the same results.
I have no idea what is wrong.

By the way, I first tried to post this issue from technical support, but it says that only user who have paid for AVG products can use that support, so I gave it up.

I have tried re-install and the result was not good.
The same error occurs as before. Nothing has been changed.

Let's work together to fix this error first.
Then we will help you with the settings.

Use AVG Clear to remove the old traces and and reinstall again.

No other security program on my PC except Windows Defender.
After running AVG Clear, the PC was rebooted.
AVG Antivirus program is up-to-date.
The error occurs after opening "Add allowed app" dialog and before selecting the app file to add.  So, no app can be added for now.

I've tried AVG Clear, but have got a same result.
After clicking the button, it appears to be searching something (files?) and after a while, the error occurs and the process dies.

Thank you for the screenshot, Kats.

Do you have any other security program installed on the PC? Have you restarted the PC once you run AVG Clear tool?

Please make sure whether you have updated AVG Anti-virus. Also, check whether you are unable to add all program in exception list or only the specific program.

To get the screenshot in English, you have to switch the language and area settings of Windows, and that may cause various troubles on other applications running, so it is not possible.
The error says like "AVG Antivirus halted.  A trouble has occured, so the program will not run rightly anymore. The program will be closed, and if there is any conclusion, it will be reported from Windows".
It is the common dialog that you see when an exception occurs.

Well, I will try re-installing next.  Later I will report again.
