Cannot print after AVG activation

I was not able to find the individual culprit.  I disabled the components one at a time and nothing worked.  The only thing that worked was temporarily disabling AVG from the system tray.  I will keep checking to see if you come across a solution.  Thanks.

Raimundo, If you disable AVG (http://avgclick.me/TempDisableAVG) does it work?.. If so, try finding the individual culprit (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?q=disable&urlname=How-to-disable-individual-AVG-components&l=en_US).

When my free trial of AVG Internet Security 2015 expired, I paid and activated my AVG Internet Security 2015 for two years.  I am regretting this already.  I cannot print to my HP Color Laser Jet 3600n anymore.  My first attempt to print resulted in a Printer Offline message.  I checked to see that Printers were enabled in the Firewall and they are.  My next attempts to print resulted in only the top of the test page or document printing and a second page printing with the following messages: PCL XL error, Subsystem: Kernel, Error: Illegal Data Value, Operator: Vendor Unique, Position:14.  I have tried to run System Restore twice to confirm that AVG was the problem and both times System Restore could not be completed successfully because of my antivirus program even though for the second system restore, I had inactivated AVG.  I tried uninstalling and reinstalling my printer.  Nothing has worked.  It is a network printer and other printers in the house can print.  Please help. I would like to solve this without having to uninstall and reinstall AVG. (Windows 8.1, Intel i5 processor, 8 gB RAM)
