A couple of days ago, I noticed AVG Free 2015 was not running anymore. I tried to restart it without success. I suspected a virus of some kind so I removed the HDD, connected it to another PC and scanned it with AVG Free 2015. A couple of viruses were found and removed by AVG Free.
I put the HDD back in the original PC and tried to re-install AVG Free. The installers did not even start. No error message is given. I then tried to uninstall AVG Free using the Windows control panel, the AVG Remover tool and Revo Uninstaller without success. I tried 2 versions of the AVG Remover tool downloaded from the AVG website. avg_remover_stf_x64_2015_5501.exe did not even start, even as administrator. The version downloaded from http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe did start but did not seem to complete. I have also tried the AVG Reset Access tool. It ran but made no difference.
Could you please let me know what I need to do to re-install AVG Free on this PC?

Just tried. It did not work. The installation does not start and there is no error message. I have also tried to launch the exe as administrator.
