"Cannot Recognize License Number" notification for version that does not use a license number

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused.
This license not recognized is a known issue and it is an issue with the AVG protection program.
To fix this issue we request you to completely reinstall AVG protection using the AVG remover tool.
1) To download AVG remover tool, please click on this link: http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe
2) Run the downloaded file and follow the onscreen instructions.
3) Restart your PC when the restart option is displayed on the remover tool screen.
NOTE: Once you have logged into your PC after the restart, please go to C:\ drive and delete the "AVG REMOVER" folder manually.

So I'm having essentially the same problem as the guy who posted this:
My AVG pro license isn't being recognised | AVG

For a while, several years ago, I was having trouble getting AVG to work period. I finally got it running again and haven't had any problems until a few weeks ago when I started getting that same pop-up about not being able to recognize license key. Whichever version I'm using says that it doesn't use the LK, and all I have to do is log in, which I did. Eventually it recommends that I uninstall/reinstall AVG2015 to solve the problem. I discover a further problem at this point. I start the uninstallation process, it does its thing, and then I get a message saying that the program does not have permission to access some files and cannot complete the removal. I'm not sure how this is the case, of course, as my PC has one profile on it and I am the one and only administrator. So I'm stuck in the position of not being able to use AVG because there is no license key for me to re-enter, and the program isn't allowed to uninstall itself… Any ideas?

As per our record you have purchased the subscription for both AVG protection and performance multi-device.
Please remove only Protection and then open AVG Zen interface and then logout of Zen network by clicking on your email address and then log in again and check whether PRO gets installed on Protection.
