Cannot Remove AVG VPN On Mac

I instaledl the Mac VPN then decided to remove it by moving the app to the trash.
Once done I restarted and I noticed that "AVG Security" Is still on and active in Network settings. How do I manually remove AVG VPN from my Mac completely and stop it from automatically connecting when I access the web.
I checked in the applications folder and the app is definitely removed yet it still must be running?
