Hello Alexander,
I understand the experience with AVG TuneUp program. I will certainly assist you with that. I have sent you an email with the instructions to reinstall AVG TuneUp Unlimited. Please follow the steps.
Hi there,
I'm working on a PC laptop with Windows 10.
I found that my AVG protection was taking up huge amounts of disk space - over 14GB. I traced 13.5GB to a folder called 'defs' in the AVG folder in the 32-bit program files (x86).
I decided to uninstall AVG and either start again or purchase a different product. However:
(1) Uninstall through the control panel doesn't work (it says windows cannot find the path to the file)
(2) The ABG removal app doesn't work - it didn't identify that AVG protection was on the PC
(3) I cannot delete the files manually (i require permission from Administrators and/or i am told there are programs within the folder operating)
I read that the last of these problems may result from an open program so I tried to use the task manager to close AVG but it either did nothing at all (for AVG Antivrus) or said 'access is denied' (for everything else)
How hard can it be to remove a programme from my own computer!!!
Help please!
Alex
