Have you tried to restart the PC once and try to restore the files from Quarantine?
Please try to update AVG Anti-virus and check the status.
To update : Open AVG Anti-virus - Click on refresh icon beside virus definitions - Restart computer after successful update.

Put a file in quarantine that I shouldn't have and now when I try to restore it I just get an error message that says "Whoops, error occurred. This file can't be restored." Using AVG Free on windows 10. The file in question is for Scrivener, which now I cannot open, which means I can't get to any of my writing projects, which is a problem.
