What is a log file and how do I attach it?
Hi
My database is still quarantined by AVG. Has this problem been resolved yet?
Richard,
I apologize for the delayed response. We have successfully recovered the file that was quarantined by AVG. I have sent that file via email. Please check your email and download that file.
Thank you.
This is not an option as the reinstallation of the quarantined file will be charged for by the company who supply and support the database.
When will the bug be fixed?
Hello Richard,
Sorry to hear about that. Please repair AVG Free Antivirus as mentioned in this article ( http://avgread.me/1BVxDSY ) and then add the database application to exception list of AVG by following this article ( http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-make-exclusions-from-all-scans-and-shields ) and check if it works.
Thank you.
AVG Anti Virus Free has quarantined the database engine for a database I use, which has now rendered it unusable. The engine is in the quarantine, but clicking restore does nothing to it. How can I restore?
Did the compressed files come through okay last night?

I had already repaired AVG. I cannot add the exception as AVG has removed it from my C Drive. This is the file pathway in quarantine C:\Apps\profile7\dbdk\win32\dbeng9.exe which needs to be restored. AVG has reoved the dbeng9.exe part of it from my C drive
Hi Richard,
We have received your email with attachment and it was submitted to our senior team for analysis. We will get back to you if anything else is required, appreciate your patience.
Hi
My database is still quarantined by AVG. Has this problem been resolved yet?
Richard,
I am sorry to inform you that it is a bug and our developers are working on a fix diligently. As a temporary fix, please disable AVG Protection (right click on AVG system tray icon) and reinstall the application. After reinstallation, please add the application folder to AVG exceptions list to avoid further detection.
To add an exception, please follow the steps in this article http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-make-exclusions-from-all-scans-and-shields .
Richard,
Uninstallation of AVG software is not required in this case. I suggested you to disable it temporarily to reinstall or restore that file from a backup.
