Cannot scan in my standard user account, but can in admin account

I previously responded via email to your reply that I was having intermittent WIFI failures and that remote support was not feasable at that ttime, and I would let you know when my WIFI problem was resolved.

It was necessary to do a clean install of Windows 10 Pro to resolve my WIFI problems. After doing the clean install and reinstalling AVG, the problem of not scanning has also been resloved.

Thanks for you assistance,

Bob

Cannot scan in my standard user account, but can in admin account.

I am running a Dell XPS8700 with Windows 10 Pro with all recent updates. A licensed version AVG Internet Security 2016 provides security for my system.

I admit that it has been a while since I ran an AVG scan. Yesterday I decided to run one during a slow time. I found that I could not run any kind of scan from my standard user account. I know I used to be able to run AVG scans from my standard user account. I have provided a screen shot of the result of initiating a scan 10 minutes prior. AVG thinks it is running, but nothing is happening. Another note, once I try to start a scan, I cannot stop or pause it with the STOP or PAUSE buttons. It seems to be hung scanning the boot sectors. I left it for 15 minutes during one attempt and it never got any further.

I have uninstalled AVG with your AVG removal tool, and reinstalled it.

Scanning works fine from my admin account.

Also, I have two Toshiba laptops running Windows 10 Home that work fine.
