Cannot scan to pc after avg installation

Hi Ranjani,

I can see it for Canon  but did not find any row mentioning  Fuji xerox.

So currently, i have to remove firewall whenever I need to do a scan. Please help.

Thanks

Yes, JC. This should work.

If not, you can use the remote link attached in email to have further assistance.

Hi Priyanga Sekar,

Sorry for the delay. Will try to contact the remote support within this month.

While in desperation, i tried the following and manage to get the pc to scan with fire wall enable. However, is this suppose to work this way or … Please advise.

1. Choose Hacker Attacks in the AVG internet security
2. FireWall options>NEtwork Policies
3. Scroll down click on "Packet Rules"
4. In column "ICMP Type" with value "139"
5. Deleted it as it is orginally shown as "BLOCKED" and "ENABLE"

Hello Jc,

We will help you with this.
Open AVG Internet Security program interface.
Click on "Hacker Attacks" and then select "Firewall Options" from it.
Click on "Network Profiles" and change the profile to "Private" if it was set to public.
Try to scan the documents and inform the status here.
If you are getting any error while scanning, do share its screenshot here.
You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.

Hi JC,

Thank you for the info, JC.
Let's check with the application rules. Port numbers will get added by default once the application is installed.
Open AVG Internet Security -> Hacker Attacks -> Enhanced Firewall -> Firewall options -> Application Rules -> Make sure that Printer connection is allowed.
If not, you can add it by clicking on New group on that same interface.
