Cannot turn on enhanced firewall even though it is checked on

Open AVG Internet Security - Menu - Settings - Troubleshooting (in left pane) - Scroll down to the "Reset All Settings" section and click the "Reset To Default" option - Restart your computer once.

After doing a windows update my enhanced firewall cannot be turned on. Please advise the correct steps to do this.
