Cannot update licence key

I assure you that he will activate your AVG Internet Security (1 computer) license from the free version that is installed on your PC.
In the latest version 17.9, you have to click on "My AVG" option on AVG Antivirus dashboard where you can find "My subscriptions"
In subscriptions window, you will find option to enter license.

  1. I was running full AVG internet security. I have a subscription but the products page of my AVG account does not show that I have AVG internet security. If I go to my purchase history, the purchase of AVG internet security does show up (Nov 2017). That's problem 1.
    2. Yesterday, AVG did an auto update and said it needed to restart my computer, which I did.
    3. AVG then said that I had only basic protection (i.e. the free product).
    4. I phoned support but they could not help. After an hour on the phone the guy just disappeared, leaving me on the end of the line (after I had declined to pay lots of money for paid support - the problem started with an AVG update, so I am not to blame).
    5. I downloaded the full product (AVG_Internet_Security_742.exe) and tried to install it. It said I already had the latest version.
    6. I uninstalled AVG and tried to install the full version again. This went on ALL NIGHT and had not finished in the morning.
    7. I re-installed the free product.
    8. Now I have no way of activating the full product. In the free product there is no way to enter a licence number, just an option to pay for an upgrade. If I try to install the full version (step 5) it just says I already have the latest version.
    9. So I am stuck with the free version but have paid for the full version. AVG want lots of money to sort the problem out.
