Canon Powershot Blocked By AVG

Shaun,

Unfortunately, we do not have option to add MAC address into exception list but you could add its IP address. Open AVG Internet Security -> Menu -> Settings -> Components -> Enhanced Firewall -> Customize -> Packet Rules -> add its IP address.

Also, make sure that your firewall have the basics recommended settings as mentioned below:

Open AVG Internet Security -> Menu at the top right -> Settings -> Components -> Enhanced firewall -> Customize -> System rules -> make sure all the task has been enabled.

Again, Firewall -> Customize -> Network Profiles -> change all the profiles from public to Private. Let us know if you face any difficulties.

Is there any way I can add the MAC address of my Canon camera to the exceptions list of the AVG firewall? The firmware on my camera, and the associated windows software are up to date. The issue is definitely with the firewall, the only way I can connect directly to my computer via wireless is to disable the firewall, at which point my camera connects & uploads the pictures to my PC without issue.
