Can't access to files on external ard drive

Barb, In future please refrain from carrying out multiple topic postings on basically the same subject! You won't obtain an answer to your query any faster!. When I connect an external hard drive I am unable to access files. The following message appears;
Blocked explorer,exe from accessing autorun.ifi. Autorun  has been locked.
