As per our records, you have purchased AVG Performance Pro. If it is, AVG Protection pro that is saying it is a trial, it is true because you did not pay for it. Appreciate your understanding. Hello: I had to reinstall AVG Pro after a system refresh. Now, I cannot get the product out of the trial period mode. I have my invoice showing the product is valid until September 2016. I repeatedly followed the instructions for connecting via Zen and it shows my account name under "adminstrator" but the trial notice is still there on the AVG interface. Nothing I've tried works, so I need some help. Thanks.

Hello Karen,I really apologize for the inconvenience caused. We truly do not want to lose a valuable customer like you due to such an issue. I would like to keep you informed that your product 'AVG Protection' is for multi-devices and hence the credentials(email and password) of your AVG My Account created during the purchase is mandatory. Since our previous technician was unaware that you no longer have the access to that email account, you were suggested to activate using using email address and password assuming that you are still using the 'trial' version. Rajarahan: Again, so sorry but it's a little late as I needed a full security suite NOW, no trial periods or fiddling around. I totally understand your protocol for activation but this was a stupid issue. I'll provide an excerpt from the initial convo with your technical support, whose link was provided in the email that was sent:
Me: I can't activate AVG via Zen. I deleted the yahoo email a couple of months ago. I no longer have that account and therefore, I don't have the password for that account.
AVG: So sad.
Me: What's sad about this? People change their emails all the time…
AVG: I am so disappointed that you cannot access your AVG Internet Security…
Combine that with repeated calls for remote access and the content of the earliest reply from one of your staff to this post, and I'm a little put off, actually a lot. In truth, the chat session would be hilarious if I wasn't so pissed off. Oh well, not going back. But thanks for your courteous posts.

Thank you for quick response. The above notice is for the security suite, something I definitely want out of the trial mode. NOTE: I followed the directions for activating with my AVG account log-on and it's not working.
I just looked at my purchase invoice and the above email address isn't valid any longer. This seems to be the problem. I don't have this email any more. What do I do now?
So sorry, after contacting your customer service and receiving weird and silly replies and numerous requests to use remote access for what seems a remarkably simple issue to fix, I uninstalled my purchased AVG Internet Security and bought another firewall suite which took all of about two minutes to download, install and activate using a product KEY. Turns out the new product is far less cumbersome and draining on my machine's resources, yay! The AVG protection software is decent, but that isn't enough in view of all these hassles. I see that there is no provision for a pro-rated refund either. OK, then, no need to respond to this post as the AVG uninstall has been, for me, a final resolution.

I can also see that you have contacted our technical 'chat' support team and the technician has escalated the case to AVG Sales department who will be able to update the email address for you. AVG Sales department will be able to update your email address and you will soon be contacted via email very soon.
