Thanks for your prompt answet. Sadly, what you suggested does not work and I cannot attach files or have my contacts auto completed in Firefox (which is the browser I use because of my work).
As said before, it works on Chrome (which does not suit me, hence the need to find a solution).
I also have AVG Antitrack, Internet Security, and Breachguard.
Thanks for your help, this is very annoying for my work!
Hello Laura,
Thank you for contacting AVG Community Support.
We are really sorry to know that you are unable to use auto complete or attach files after using AVG TuneUp. We'll certainly check and help you out.
The Fix Issues feature checks for a variety of problems that may impact the performance and security of your PC. AVG TuneUp may detect the following issue types during a Fix Issues scan:
-Unusual system settings: Settings configurations that may affect the reliability of your PC's behavior.
I request you try reverse the changes via 'Undo Center'. The Undo Center allows you to reverse certain changes that AVG TuneUp has made to your PC. To reverse a change: Hover your mouse over the side menu and click Undo Center to view a list of actions, then click Undo next to any changes you want to reverse.
Note: Not all AVG TuneUp actions can be reversed. Click Settings (the gear icon) to specify when AVG TuneUp creates backups, and for how long the backups are stored. AVG TuneUp uses your stored backups to undo changes.
If you are still facing the same issue or any error message appear, please help us with the screenshot of the error message. You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on Answer & then click on the Image [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
Thank you and keep us updated.
Hi all. I have Tune Up, among other AVG products (antitrack, Internet Security, and Breachguard). Everything works fine, computer (Windows 11 version 23H2 x64) is protected, so are mails and browsers… Yesterday, Tune Up cleant a lot of stuff and ever since, I cannot attach files in GMail in Firefox nor can I have my contacts automatically appear when I type one or two letters, like it normally does.
This does not happen in Edge or Chrome, but I use 99% Firefox and would love to keep everything in just one browser as I have done until now for many years.
Can any of you suggesr something that may help me?
Thanks in advance.
Thank you for taking the time to write back to us and sharing the screenshot, Laura.
We understand that you are still unable to attach the files and auto fill after running AVG TuneUp. The Browser Cleaner feature in AVG TuneUp scans for leftover files and tracking data, such as browser cache, cookies, and history stored on your PC while you browse the web.
Important: If you select the Full mode, Browser Cleaner will delete the auto-fill data saved in your selected browsers.
Since, you are unable to attach the files, I request you check if you are using the latest version of browser.
Could you please provide me with more details about the situation, and I will do my best to help you resolve it efficiently.
May I know if you used "Undo Center" to reverse the setting?
Are you facing issues only when you use email?
Could you please confirm if you are facing issue with particular email serivce provider?
Did you tried after disabling firewall and Core Shields in AVG Internet Security?
Refer the following article for detailed steps to disable firewall: | AVG (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlName=AVG-Antivirus-Enhanced-Firewall-FAQ&supportType=home)
Looking forward to your response and the opportunity to assist you further.
