I'm getting the same popup that Kevin shows in the first post. Did AVG take notes from Microsoft's "Upgrade to Windows 10" campaign by not offering a real "no thanks" answer? "Remind me later" or "install now" are the only choices, apart from the "x" which I'm sure means remind me later. Ever read "Green Eggs and Ham" by Dr. Seuss? I'm about as frustrated as that dude was getting harassed all the time. I will never eat your full version AVG, in a box or with a fox or anywhere else.
This must be a joke. No 'ignore' option, only 'remind me later'? What if a person doesn't want internet security? The message will pop up forever??? Then surely it's time to switch to another free antivirus program. I'm sorry but this way of marketing is too aggressive. I will not try this software just for the principle of it. I might have tried it otherwise but I do not appreciate being forced into things. My guess is no one does.
No, I get a pop up that says:
"Your online security is incomplete.
Try Internet Security for maximum protection.
remind me later or Install now"

I keep getting this message every time I turn on my pc. I kept closing it. But lately, the x button on right top wont work, I gotta close it from the task manager.
Any clues on how to permanently disable it?
thanks.
Right now the answer is no but we suggested some of our customers to completely reinstall AVG using the remover tool and they have replied that they are not getting the popups anymore but we are sure that the campaign popups will appear even if you reinstall the program.
If you would like to try the reinstallation, please follow the below mentioned instructions and do let us know the status of it.
1) To download the AVG remover tool please click on this link:
http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe
2) Run the downloaded tool and follow the instructions displayed on your screen.
- Your computer will be restarted automatically. After the restart, AVG Remover will finish the uninstallation.
NOTE: Once the AVG Remover Tool has done with its process. Please go to the C drive and look for a folder named as "AVG Remover" and I request you to delete it manually.
