Can't downgrade to avg free

Hello.

I clicked on the AVG Upgrade button that popped up in my system tray this morning when I turned on my Windows 7 computer, thinking that it would just update to the latest version of AVG Free, only I got AVG Protection Pro Trial instead.

So I tried uninstalling AVG Protection, re-downloaded AVG Free and tried installing AVG Free. It went back to AVG protection.

I then tried to uninstall everything with AVG Remover, then tried again with AVG Free.
Still stuck with AVG Protection.

Then I turned on my new Windows 8 build, only to find it had been automatically upgraded to AVG Protection Pro Trial too.

Apparently, it's connected to my AVG Account, so that whenever I try reinstalling the Free version, it keeps changing it to the Protection Pro Trial version.

AVG Remover doesn't fix this.

So I tried finding the option in my AVG account online to get rid of AVG Protection Pro Trial from my account to stop being automatically upgraded to AVG Protection Pro whenever I try re-downloading and installing AVG Free after using AVG remover.

There is no option in AVG Zen I can find to downgrade.
There is no option in AVG Protection Pro I can find to downgrade.
There is no option in System Control Panel\Programs and Features Uninistall/Repair I can find to downgrade.
There is no option I can find in my AVG Account online I can find to downgrade.

So I'm stuck with a stupid trial version on both machines until it expires in 29 days? And then what?

I want to get rid of AVG Protection Pro and go back to AVG Free NOW for good.

Please help.
