Can't get VPN to open on laptop. Says I need to buy

I have AVG VPN 3 yr Subscription. Help says "You can install AVG Secure VPN on unlimited PCs, and use it on any single PC at a time." I just loaded it onto a new desktop and it's OK.  I loaded it on new laptop and it says I have to buy it.  It is not open on my other computers at this time; only the laptop.  I clicked the 30 day trial to open.  Why?
