Can't install AVG Free

I understand the inconvenience. We need to remove AVG old traces and then install the latest updated AVG Free. After uninstalling, please follow the instructions in this article http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Download-and-install-AVG-AntiVirus-Free to install AVG Free.

Note: Before starting the installation, please select "Basic protection" to install AVG Free.

No security installed, windows defender off.

Working through PC TuneUp scans now after reinstalling it. Scan is very slow. Main concern is seeing if my PC remains terribly slow at startup.

Tom, I appreciate your efforts in trying to fix the issue. Please repair AVG PC TuneUp http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-repair-AVG from the control panel, restart the computer and check if that fixes the issue.

I understand this must be upsetting and I apologize for the inconvenience. I have sent you an email, please follow the email instructions to get in touch with the remote support. They will analyze the issue with AVG and fix it with free of cost.

Used AVG removal tool, along with deleting all traces of anything that had to do with security in downlowd library. Was asked if I wanted to do a 30 day trail of AVG paid, along with a trial of PC Tuneup, I accepted and downloaded both. Completed computer scan and PC Cleanup. Restarted PC, which was incredibly slow to finally load my desktop. Wanted to rerun PC Cleanup scan to see if any issues remain, but now am unable to open and use PC Cleanup.
