Running Windows 8.1 x64. Trying to AVG Ultimate using both avg_gsl_stb_all_ltst_106.exe and avg_gsl_stb_all_ltst_95.exe. All I get is the start screen of AVG Zen, and no further. Nothing on it responds.
I've rebooted repeatedly, even disabling any startup apps. I had been running Norton Internet Security previously, but uninstalled and cleaned registry with Raxco Perfect Registry. Made sure Windows Update was current.
Far from a n00b, but out of ideas…
