Can't install - no administrators rights?

I've looked online and it says AVG must be conflicting with a programme and I must uninstall but which one??! I have removed the McAphee protection that came with the PC. Turned off windows firewall. I'm on a HP PC, using google chrome browser and windows 8. Any help would be appreciated.
