Can't log in to update my credit card details

Hi, I've received notification that my AVG subscription is about to expire. I want to change the credit card details.  But when I try to log in to AVG MyAccount (using another email address, not this one), it tells me that it's an invalid email address - though I've just received the renewal notice at that email address!  A quick search Google search shows that I'm not the first one with this problem…
How do I get to log in to the address with which I'm registered, in order to update the credit card details and keep up my subscription? 
If it's anything complicated, I'll most likely look for another provider.
