Can't open, repair, or uninstall AVG

Matt, Did you also download & run the McAfee total removal tool… (http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe)?.

Hi,

I am also having the same problem. AVG wont work it will not let me uninstall it or repair it.

I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit, and not long after I bought the PC, I installed AVG Free 2015. Also, the computer came with a trial of Mcafee. Recently I noticed that neither AVG or Mcafee were enabled and protecting my PC. I tried to open AVG with no luck. I tried uninstalling Mcafee through the control panel, but that wouldn't work so I ended up downloading Revo Uninstaller, and was finally able to get rid of Mcafee.

My problem now is that I can't open, repair, or uninstall AVG from my computer. I've tried through the control panel, I've tried through Revo Uninstaller, and I've tried the AVG removal tool. I've even tried to download a new install file, but the file won't run.

Any ideas? Any feedback is appreciated.

I did do a search of my computer though, and found no traces of "mcafee".
