I disabled AVG as instructed and was able to send and receive emails without a problem. Can you advise how to get AVG and Outlook to play nice together?
While I appreciate AVG's efforts to get the paid version working for me, it's now been a few days short of a month since I paid and upgraded, and I still can't send emails. Please cancel my upgrade and refund my payment. I will seek out a different anti-virus software solution.
Thanks,
Dan
Temporarily, you can disable the webshield component.
However, the other components are active, so your PC will be protected from threats and viruses.
I have uninstalled the paid version and reinstalled the free version, but still can't send outgoing emails. I downloaded and ran the AVG Cleaner tool, but it didn't fix the problem, and a new problem has come up. Now when I boot up my computer, I have to choose between Windows and the AVG Cleaner. Please advise how to restore normal boot-up and Windows loading.
Sorry but my patience is running a bit thin. I'm not able to send emails unless I toggle antivirus protection off, and I get perioodic messages that certain websites aren't offering a secure connection (just got one from eBay). I had none of these problems wtih the free version. I'm willing to wait until this time tomorrow. If not resolved by then, I'm requesting a refund and will go back to the free version, which seemed to work just fine.
Upgraded from AVG Free to paid version and now Outlook can't send emails. Can receive, though. Tried "repair" function and also tried deleting and reinstallaing AVG, but didn't resolve problem.

Temporarily, you can disable email shield component in AVG Internet Security and use the paid features for real-time protection for your PC.

I only see "AVG" folders on the C drive, nothing about AVG Clear. Can you point me towards specific folders where I should look?
Been a few day and checking in on progress. If it's going to be a while, can you reinstall the free version (since it seemed to work well wtih Outlook) and pause my paid subscription?
Dan, we should actually get into Ms configuration and remove AVG Clear from boot option.
1) Press Windows and R keys together to open Run command.
2) In run window, type as "msconfig" without quotes and press Enter key.
3) In system configuration window, click on "Boot" tab.
4) Select "AVG clear" and click on "delete" option.
NOTE: Please make sure that you do not delete Windows OS from the list.
Once AVG clear is deleted, restart the PC and it should get into Windows normally.
Thank you.
