Can't Uninstall AVG Free

Sorry to hear that you have decided to uninstall AVG AntiVirus free.
Did you run AVG Clear tool as described in this article?

I need to uninstall AVG Free, but it doesn't show up in the list of programs to uninstall.  I tried the AVG Clear/Remove, but when I went to check the version number, there is none.  How do I uninstall this program?  BTW, AVG doesn't even show up in the list of installed programs.  But it is in my taskbar.
