Can't uninstall nor reinstall properly

I am having the same problem, bought AVG for 2 mobiles and 1 tablet (android) and they work. Put it  on 2 win 10 laptops and for a very short while using ZEN I could see, update, scan and control all devices from this laptop until last week when the above problem started after I whatever updates were applied. I have used the removal tool and reinstalled from AVG website. It still doesn't work, cant scan anything, can't open and run as administrator. It doesn't start even after 3 hours. in fact it doesn't do anything but put an unresponsive icon on the desk top. Pinning to the start does nothing either. As the above comment has no futher information and is a month old, I presume that there has been no resolution, I shall be replacing all of it with Panda.

As I didn't wish to allow remote access to my laptop (that being your preferred option) and was unable to call your hotline, you had on 22 March 2017 requested that I download and use your AVG sysinfo tool to gather the necessary data for your analysis and send them to you.

I did as requested and you subsequently replied on 22 March 2017 that you would escalate this to the "next level support".

It's been 3 weeks so far but you've stopped replying to my further e-mails checking on the analysis status.

I wonder why you have stopped replying my e-mails…

Have seen similar questions here but final answers given were directed to requesters' personal e-mails so I had to start a new thread.

I'm on Win 10 and AVG Free.

One day AVG just couldn't scan files anymore with the usual file/folder right click in file explorer, stating that I need to start up the AVG program first (didn't note down exact message though). Never had to start up AVG program before trying to scan specific files so something has gone wrong.

Since I couldn't scan my files for virus anymore, I googled that an easy solution was to uninstall and reinstall AVG again.

With AVG not working, I turned on my Windows Defender.

Turned out I couldn't uninstall successfully via control panel (didn't take down exact message). But I finally managed to use revouninstaller to uninstall AVG and it no longer showed up in my listed programs.

Upon restart, this dialogue box appeared stating:

[AVG Diagnostics. Following AVG processes failed: - avguix.exe Would you like to send the report to AVG for analysis?]

Clicking Yes or No buttons didn't result in any further messages.

Checked my C drive Program files and AVG folder was still there (600+mb).

Upon every startup henceforth, this same dialogue box will appear.

Tried sfc /scannow and result was that it found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.

Yet upon restart, the same dialogue box appeared.

Read in support.avg.com I should download AVG_remover.exe. Did that and tried a number of times (with several restarts). But dialogue box still appeared upon every restart.

Tried to download a new copy of AVG Free but these new installations (I tried a few times) all failed with below message:

[Installation failed. Sorry, we ran into a problem during initialisation. Find out what might have gone wrong ( 0xC007010B: General error (0x010b) )]

After these partial installations, AVG appeared in my programe list again so I uninstalled AVG via control panel (successfully).

But pop up dialogue box still appeared upon every restart.

Have gone through a few rounds of the above these few days.

Please advise how to resolve this issue.
