my AVG 2014 somehow got corrupted, I tried to install the new free version but got this installation error: "0xE001F991: The Base Filtering Engine service does not run.
then I tried to uninstall it. In control panel, it will not allow me to uninstall and gives me a message that the program is not installed.
i used the Remover Tool but the tool stops working and Windows gives me an error that Remover tool stopped working. I can not successfully uninstall or install the new version. I am stuck, please help.
