Can't uninstall previous version of AVG prior to installing new version

email received thanks & attachment downloaded but it's still a zip file & I can't open it!
This is getting a bit beyond me & it seems that it might be best to stick with what I have got & ask for a refund on the update.
You mention that I still have a licence for a windows computer - yes please cncel that as I no lon ger have that computer.

Cant follow preferred method - don't get the selection mentioned.
Tried alternative method but get message "no such file or directory found"
What next?

I am running OS Mojave 10.14.6 and have purchased AVG Internet Security Unlimited but cannot install it as I can't find a way of uninstalling the earlier version that I have been running.

Could you contact Google support to get the necessary settings for Gmail account?

Sorry don't understand what I have to change. I always get attachments OK.
