We regret the inconvenience caused. We would request you to remove previously installed program traces of (AVG 2015 or AVG 2014)from your system using AVG Remover tool and then try to reinstall AVG program you want.
Note: If you have installed any other conflicting programs like AVAST, NORTON, McAfee or KASPERSKY try to uninstall it.
Once you have uninstalled from your system,try to follow the steps which mentioned below.
how do I remove this software? it is like a virus it will not uninstall. I can't repair AVG protection or uninstall it and it doesn't work. If I can't remove AVG protection then I can't remove AVG the other bit of clutter you people installed. God I left avg years ago and thought I would give you guys a go again but your product is a bloody virus itself!

Your web shield behaves exactly like bloody malware by changing my homepage and changing my default search engine. If I wanted bloody malware I wouldn't have installed avg. Now that I want to remove your malware bs your program stops working. a pop up tells me this with no error code. Just a generic windows pop up that say X program stopped working.
And I conveniently can't get actual bloody support from you jerks "sorry you downloaded a free version so screw you! You don't deserve actual support for our sh!tty software."
The program fails in less than a month and it is impossible to uninstall it so interferes with any other virus scanner I try to use leaving me vulnerable. great job. real quality product.

2/2 Remover and Download:
1) To download AVG remover tool, please click on this link: http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe
2) Run the downloaded file and follow the onscreen instructions.
3) Restart your PC when the restart option is displayed on the remover tool screen.
NOTE: Once you have logged into your PC after the restart, please go to C:\ drive and delete the "AVG REMOVER" folder manually.
Now, you can install your AVG program. If you need any further assistance please let me know which AVG program you want to install, whether paid AVG Protection or AVG Free protection.
