I am trying to adjust a database file in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Kontakt but I can not unset "read only", no matter what I do. I believe this has to do with the ransomeware protection as I can't think of anything else that would be causing it. I've set my user as owner and changed permissions to no avail. I've also checked the ransomeware folder listing and it wasnt listed. Not sure why I can't change permissions on this folder/files in it.

Please make sure this file is not added to protected folders list in AVG Ransomware protection settings.
Open AVG Internet Security and click the Hacker attacks tile.
Click Open above Ransomware protection.
To remove a folder from the list, hover your cursor over the relevant folder's panel and click the X icon. Click Stop protecting to confirm.
If the above folder or file is not listed, turn off the Ransomware protection shield temporarily and verify the issue. If the issue persists, we can conclude that AVG is not causing this.
